Siphiwe Sithole is a farmer. She wasn’t always one, but she always wanted to be one, so she made her ambitions a reality, but first she identified her market.

She grows a variety of African produce that she supplies to those Africans from other parts of the continent who want to eat the food they grew up with. Latterly, she has also started supplying restaurants and chefs who are centering pan African cuisine as well as helping like-minded people seed their own indigenous vegetable patches or farms.

This champion of indigenous African fruit and vegetables, advocates a return to Africa’s heritage foods and her next big ambition is to take African food mainstream.

She believes the adage - you are what you eat.
